I'm looking for a lace veil that I could use for the closing window this sunday. I'm looking for something that would mimic this portrait:

I"ve tried purchase likely vintage peices the past two weeks on eBay but all the auctions went to high for me :(

    You could always go pick up some sheer silk organdy and put a scarf hem in it. Britex may even have one with a swirl to it (Haven't been in there in a while.) About a yard of it with the corners rounded and the edge hemmed would give that effect, if it is the floaty instead of the crisp kind.

    you could use the wedding veil that we have for lending out at the DG window, and pair it with a garland from rosie's or primrose's

          I have the suspicion that Laurie ... er ... the APQ will make a most beautiful and refined image in the window, Mr. Have-a-Go Lammle. Nothing so shameless and Dionysian as those tableaux at the V&A! Just like your sort to make something Prurient out of a lovely wedding portrait, eh?

          God Save the Queen!

          <wink>

            Well I'm going to make do with a silk sheer with crewel worked flowers for the window as I don't have a fortune to get the real deal and I didn't find any suitable stand-ins locally.
